Hereford Girls Travel Basketball Spring - 2025 Season

Girls Basketball Open Gym

Looking for a little extra gym time to work on your game in the off-season? Well, the Hereford Girls Travel Basketball program wants to offer you just that!  This spring our program will be offering open gym sessions throughout the spring to provide gym access for interested participants to work on their game. Please note this is different than our fall clinics as it will not be as structured. Some shooting drills and suggestions will be offered, but this time is mainly for players to work on their basketball skills: ball handling, shooting, even scrimmage when numbers allow, anything to sharpen skills in the off-season. 

Open gym is open to any girls in grades 3-8, and they do not have to be current travel participants to participate.  Participants are encouraged to bring a basketball, while some will be available, numbers may vary from session to session and bringing your own ball will ensure you always have what you need to work on your skills.

Open gym sessions will take place from 1:15 to 3:15 on Sunday afternoons starting Sunday, March 30th.  The cost to register is $50, this includes access to 9 open gym sessions. Come for as many or as few sessions as you choose, but remember all participants be registered to participate. 

Please note that there will be no open gym the weekend of Easter and Memorial Day, so please note dates below.  

Spring Session Starts: Sunday, March 30th

No Open Gym: April 20th & May 25th

Last Session: Sunday, June 8th

Hereford Girls Travel Basketball Tryouts – 2024/2025 Season

Tryouts will be held on the below dates and a follow up email will come with exact time and dates for each grade.

10/17 and 10/24 @Hereford High from 7:00pm-8:00pm
10/18 and 10/25 @Hereford High from 7:00pm-8:00pm
10/20 and 10/27 @Hereford High from 12:30-3:00pm

The Hereford Girls Travel Basketball Program is committed to assisting the student athlete in perfecting the fundamentals of the basketball game.  Our Mission is to help young ladies build character by: 

• Providing personal skills development through hard work 
• Developing good sportsmanship 
• Building confidence; and
• Believing in one another within a fun and challenging environment. 

We compete at a more advanced level to prepare the student athlete to potentially play for higher learning institutions. Hereford Girls Travel Basketball participates in the Carroll County Travel Basketball League with games on Saturdays or Sundays. 

*ALL Tryouts will be held at Hereford High School*

Teams will practice 2x per week, unless otherwise stated.

Registration Cost (Travel)

The fee will be roughly $275-$325 per player. Fees are not required until you receive an invitation to join the team following evaluations.  In addition, uniforms (reversible jerseys and shorts) and shooting shirts will be required (cost TBD) and will remain the property of the individual player.  

Additional Information

Games will be played at several Carroll County locations and we will be renting space this year for practices. Any additional leagues or tournaments are at the discretion of the individual team coach and NOT covered in the registration fee. 

The season typically runs from Nov 15th - March 1st. Coaches will contact you regarding evaluation time.  All parents will be required to sign liability waivers.
