Program Information

Our mission is to provide children the opportunity to create, produce, and be a part of a theater experience that nurtures, develops, and stimulates young minds. By teaching acting, voice, dance, stage management, and more, our students will understand all aspects of creating a Broadway-style musical. After almost 6-months of skill-building in voice, movement, and scene work, these young actors will present a final performance for friends, family, and the community.

Registration Open To
All children entering grades K through 10th (in Fall 2023).

Registration Cost
Juniors - $295 per participant grades 5-10
Kids - $205 per participant grades K-4

(maximum 20 participants per each class)

Cost includes weekly instruction, performance, video link to the final performance, end of season cast party, and a cast t-shirt.

Sibling will receive a $45 discount per registered class.

At this time: PRC Drama Club will have 2 Instructors this year. (This can change before the season begins)
- Mrs. Julie Fisher - Director/Program Chair
- Ms. Erin Fisher - Asst. Director and Choreography
* Mrs. Rochelle Basta will be assisting with the general program duties (Co-Chair). Mainly her fabulous costuming! She will be available during class time on Tuesday and occasional Wednesday evenings, if Julie is not available, you may talk with her.

Classes Will Be Held

PRC (8601 Harford Road, 21234) – Hiss Avenue/Side door entrance to 2nd floor
Tuesday 6:30 – 8pm - Junior Class Grades 5-10
Wednesday 6:30 – 7:30pm - Kids Class Grades K-4

For the performance this year, we will have "auditions" for the Junior Class. Children interested in auditioning for a lead/minor role in Coming Soon (August 7th). Please note this season the Junior class will be performing a full musical, while the Kids class will be performing – A Musical review. Those enrolled Junior students that do not wish to audition for a lead/minor role in the performance will automatically be placed in an ensemble role in the final production.  In most years, our musicals have required ‘solos & individual lines’ that aren’t necessarily lead/minor roles. These parts are given to ensemble members normally within the first few weeks or so after the leads are set and the participants begin to understand the characters.

Classes will begin September 12, 2023 and September 13, 2023

The performances for the Junior Class are scheduled for TBD (estimated month of April).
The performances for the Kids Class is scheduled for TBD (estimated month of February).

Auditions:
Junior Class: Will be held on September 26, 2023. Call backs will be held on October 3, 2023.  Cast list will be posted by October 5, 2023 unless otherwise determined.

Kids Class:
NO Auditions.  All parts will be distributed during the first few weeks of the season.

- Your child must be registered for the program in order to audition.
- You must use the Sign-Up Genius site (link will be provided to those registered participants only) to schedule your child’s audition date and time. NO Walk Ins will be Welcome.

**Additional requirements for the BOTH programs: We are asking that every participant have dance shoes for the season. Black jazz shoes. If we have any interest, I can arrange a table sale at the 1st/2nd week of classes. For those that have pre-owned/new Black dance shoes to resell/trade/donate.

This is a Volunteer run program.  We do not require a lot of volunteer commitment during the season, but we will when the performance dates arrive.  Volunteers for the performances of BOTH Classes will be established by mid season. If there are not the required number of volunteers committed for the Show Day(s). There will not be a show(s).

Keep in mind this year – we will be asking the Junior Class for their assistance in some way for the Kids performances. This is good for them to see all aspects of putting on a performance.

Refund Policy

No refunds will be issued.
