Hampstead Ravens Youth Football Club
P.O. Box 758
The Hampstead Ravens Youth Football Club celebrates its 16th year of providing the youth of Carroll County and surrounding areas with an opportunity to participate in full contact football and cheerleading.
The program was originally started in 1995 by founding members Stephen Bosely, Mike Kunert, Brian Ensor, and Kirby Miller. Mike Kunert continues to serve on the Executive Board to this day.
The four founding members came up with the idea to start the program when other programs in the area were at capacity and some children had to be turned away. They felt the need for all kids in the community to have the opportunity to suit up in the fall. The birth of the new community football organization coincided with the arrival of the Ravens to Baltimore. The founders seized the opportunity and contacted the club about use of the Ravens name. The NFL Baltimore Ravens were more than happy to oblige, allowing Hampstead not only to use their name, but also allowing them to incorporate the logo – making them the first youth football program to do so.
The Hampstead Ravens practice and play their games at the Hampstead Lions Club field on Hillcrest Avenue and have enjoyed a tremendous partnership with the Lions Club for the use of its tremendous facility.
The Hampstead Ravens are a non-profit, privately funded organization whose success is due solely to the efforts of its many volunteers and the generosity of corporate sponsors.
